Here is nice early owl that is in mint condition.  It comes complete with the scarce felt bag which is responsible for it having survived the past 56 years without any scratches.  The insides are just as clean as the outside, making one wonder if it was ever used at all?  I have tested this unit and it sings like a bird, just as it must have back in the store.   

Collectability:  Because it is in mint condition, this is a RARE and desirable item.

Chassis / Serial #:  7ZT40 / #228,749 (Assembled around July, 1956).

Size / Power:  5 7/8” H, 3 ½” W, 1 ¾” D, runs on 4 AA batteries.

Cosmetic Condition:  Mint Condition.  No signs of use or wear to the usual areas like the knobs, metal and nylon surfaces.

Electronic Condition:  This radio is in excellent working condition.  Inside, the chassis is clean and original.  The battery contacts shine.  Paper label on the battery door is clean.

Accessories:  This set comes complete with a new and unused split leather case, operating guide, felt bag to protect the radios scratch-free exterior, and shipping carton.

Summary:  This is a pristine example.  There have been no repairs, replacements, or alterations to this radio’s exterior or chassis, but still it is in excellent working condition.  It is a true investment piece.
