For your consideration is this early issue of the translucent Maroon handwired Royal 500.  The radio is in very good condition with no chips or cracks or repairs to the cabinet, however there is some normal scratching to be found on the back.  The metal is bright gold with no dings in the grill.  The stand is straight and snaps into all 3 positions. 

The chassis is 7XT40 and the serial # is 16,870 and man does it play strong and pull the stations.  The battery contacts are all strong and undamaged and the battery cover lays flat with no bowing.  Included is a very clean leather case to protect this fine radio.  $350
