Early Westinghouse Portable Radio – 1956

Out of stock

Offered here is an early seven transistor Model H-602P7 leather portable radio, perhaps the first transistor radio made by Westinghouse.   The leather exterior of this radio has survived the years in fantastic shape and even the leather carrying handle looks as though it has never been used.  The large gold mesh grill is in perfect condition too, so this is a great display radio of an early design.

This radio is designed to work on two large 9 volt batteries, but a modern 9 volt will work just as well.  This radio is all original and up until recently was playing with loud volume, but when tested this week it did not pull any stations.  Easy fix?

The only detractor is the lens for the station selector is missing.
