This very early transistor radio from General Electric is said to be the second transistor radio produced in the US. Introduced on August 24, 1955 this features 5 transistors on a printed circuit board. This radio requires an obsolete battery and therefore it has not been tested, but it is clean inside and all original. A simple but stunning design, the brass tuning knob has the Mercedes Benz symbol and all lettering is present and sharp. No chips or cracks here. Measures only 5.5″ wide. Very nice.
