Rare Early Regency XR-2A from 1956

In stock

This listing is for an early offering from Regency, the premier transistor manufacturer.  The XR-2A is a speaker-less model which was designed to project only through the earphone.  It operates on 2 common AAA batteries, however my brief attempt came up empty.  There is corrosion on the battery terminals which may be the only problem, but I left them as they were and did not attempt to clean them.

The radio’s bright red cabinet is about as nice as you  could  hope to find.  There are no chips, cracks, or damaged areas.  Even the gold lettering is strong and complete.  There is a nice original shine to the surface which has not been cleaned or polished.  It is all original.

If you are interested in a nice example of an early Regency which I believe is harder to find than the TR1, don’t hesitate on this one.
