Offered here is an early long distance leather lunchbox portable radio from Zenith that is the first of the new “Navigator” series introduced in 1957. This super powerful portable has a hand wired chassis which not only receives standard AM broadcasts, but was designed to also receive long wave navigation signals at 200-400Khz. The 4″ speaker and 275 milliwatt output is capable of producing outstanding performance. It is powered by six “C” batteries. This radio is clean inside and all original. You will find it to be in excellent working condition.
This radio has a tuned RF stage for extra sensitivity and the precision Vernier tuning makes this set easy to tune. The light tan genuine leather exterior is in excellent condition as is the carrying strap. The distinctive front chrome grille is styled after the autos of this time frame. The Royal 760 Navigator is truly one of the classics.
