Offered here in collector condition is this scarce Sanyo model RP8600 from 1978. This highly sensitive solid-state radio has integrated circuit technology and operates with an RF amplifier. It has AM/FM/Public Service Hi, and PS low bands. Other features include tone adjustment, loudness switch, lighted dial, and a tuning/battery meter.
This portable radio is in excellent cosmetic condition with no repairs performed or needed. The battery box is clean, and the battery door is intact. It is an impressive performer with great sound as you can hear below. It requires 4 “D” batteries and includes the original carrying strap. The radio measures 8″ tall, 9″ wide, and 3″ deep.
