This is a scarce early Zenith Royal 300 from 1957. As you know if you have read my section on the Royal 300, http://www.garysradios.com/royal-300 the first ones were made with “Seven Transistors” printed at the top of the face plate, and this was changed to “All Transistor” shortly after its introduction.
The 300 is a very close cousin to the Royal 500 Owls, and their performance was not compromised at all. This beautiful maroon radio is in excellent plus cosmetic condition. Inside, the 7AT40Z1 chassis has been recapped and now is in perfect playing condition. I believe that this is as nice of an example of an early Royal 300 as you will find for your collection.
This radio is of collector quality with no chips or cracks or scratches to the cabinet. There is light scuffing to the back of the radio from sliding it into the case. The case itself is also in excellent condition with a shiny exterior and no wear to the stitching.
