Shirt Pocket Sized Transistors
To compete with the rest of the world, Zenith engineers had to design a more compact radio than the coat pocket sized. The emphasis had to be on portability and low cost. Zenith started this venture with the Royal 50 which was a huge success. But they didn’t stop there. Through continued engineering improvements and style changes, Zenith produced some of the finest looking and performing shirt pocket sized transistors available during the early 60’s.
