This unique piece is made of heavy gold plated steel pieces with a Royal 500E like radio chassis and a swiss movement battery operated clock inside. Most of the clocks have stopped working by now, but what a showpiece this is. .

    Hi Gary

    Michael Jack from Ontario, Canada here. I just picked up one of these great radios and was wondering what type of battery was/is used for the clock?
    Will you be at Lansing this summer?

    Hi Michael, I hated to have to miss Lansing this year but it did not work out because of travel for business. The clock operates on a common “D” cell. Good luck finding a movement that still works well.
