Description
Here is a scarce early 8 transistor set from Emerson, the model 988 “Rambler”. This set is a scarce find in the attractive red color. It’s a real attention grabber with its large white tuning background and reverse paint face.
The radio is original except for the battery tube which has been replaced with a modern holder for the required 4 AA batteries. It plays surprisingly well with clear tone. Clean with no chips or cracks, just some light corrosion to the nameplate.
